By Dr Anthony Mann (Director of Research and Policy, Education and Employers), and Baljinder Virk (Education and Employers).
This report, commissioned by the Edge Foundation, explores the concept of ‘profound’ employer engagement in education, offering definitions of what it is and drawing on relevant evidence to explore the difference it might be expected to make to young people. The report captures the views of secondary school leaders and classroom teachers, and young people between the ages of 14 and 16, on employer engagement in education, its different forms, and expected impacts. The report continues to identify barriers to large scale employer engagement in education and means and models of delivery.
