This week the judging panel meet to decide the Inspiring Women student essay competition winners. The competition was open to state secondary school students who have taken part in an Inspiring Women campaign event at their school. The aim was to encourage girls to talk about how the experience has impacted on their thoughts, self-confidence and ambitions. Winners will be announced shortly.

Carol Glover is Campaigns Communications Manager at charity the Education and Employers Taskforce which runs the Inspiring Women campaign. Prior to doing communications for health and education charities she was a journalist and editor.
