Since 2018 Health Education England (HEE) been working with Inspiring the Future and Primary Futures to get more NHS staff connecting with school children of all ages on a regular basis, talking about the breadth of interesting roles available and answering questions about their jobs.
NHS Ambassadors take part in school activities such as assemblies, speed networking, career days and many more, alongside new Interactive Virtual sessions to connect with children and young people online. Since the campaign began our NHS Ambassadors have interacted with over 400,000 young people through Inspiring the Future and we’re excited by how much more we can achieve together.

Showing young people the range of careers in the NHS
We have produced two pre-recorded films with NHS frontline staff who due to their work schedules are not available during day to take part in the interactive virtual sessions with young people. These can be used a resource for primary and secondary students to supplement their careers and motivational activities.
If you work in the NHS or HEE – become an NHS Ambassador and join the thousands of passionate staff who are inspiring future generations to consider a career in Healthcare.
Teachers – are you interested in contacting NHS volunteers for a session with your students? Primary and secondary schools can register here, and to find out more about NHS-focused virtual activities for your school please contact victoria.lawrence@educationandemployers.org.
