Skills Minister John Hayes has appointed Dr Deirdre Hughes OBE as the Chair of the new National Council for Careers. The council will be a driving force in careers guidance and will provide independent, expert advice to the Government on the future development of the National Careers Service which was launched at the beginning of April.
