David Cruickshank joined the Board of Jupiter Fund Management plc in June 2021 as a Non Executive Director and he was appointed Non Executive Chairman of McInroy & Wood in May 2022.
Prior to this, David spent his entire career with Deloitte, serving mostly international corporate clients, starting in 1979, qualifying in 1982, becoming a partner in 1988, leading the Tax practice for 8 years from 1998-2006, serving two terms as UK Chair between 2007 and 2015 and then as Global Chair from 2015 – 2019. He retired from the firm in the summer of 2020.
As well as being Chair of the Trustees of this charity, he also chairs the Board of Directors of the Social Progress Imperative (a US not for profit that produces the country by country Social Progress Index) and is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
David graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1979 with a degree in Business and Economics.
Previous roles were:
– Co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI)
– A member of the advisory councils of A4S (Accounting for Sustainability) and the IIRC (the International Integrated Reporting Council) and
– He was one of the founder chairs of the 30% Club in the UK
