Charlie Maynard

Charlie is an investor and advisor in early-stage startups and venture capital firms including Entrepreneur First, Firstminute Capital, Galion VC, and Ratio Ventures. He’s also a mentor to education startups for Creator Fund. Charlie sits on the board for the University of Creative Arts and the Fair Opportunity Project. He earned his undergraduate degree from Oxford and his MBA from Stanford 

 

He was the cofounder and CEO of Going Merry, a student finance platform used by two million students. Last year, it processed $250M of financial aid and was used by 2 out of 3 high schools across the US. It was recognised with a national award for making higher education more accessible (the Best Contribution to Economic Mobility award by FinTech Futures). Going Merry was incubated at Sequoia Capital and was acquired by the Fortune 500 company Navient.
